Which snap fasteners are suitable for school lessons?

Various BRERO snap fastener systems are suitable for schools and textile craft lessons:

  • STAR – S-spring snap fastener, versatile and particularly popular in the classroom.
  • SUPER – ring-spring snap fastener, also suitable for textile work and a range of materials.
  • ELEGANT – jersey prong-ring snap fastener, another option for creative and textile projects.

Most frequently used: STAR 4 – 12,5 mm cap. It is ideal for school projects in which snap fasteners are set by hand while trying out different textile applications.

Which tools are needed?

The matching designation is marked directly on each tool, making it easy to see which tool belongs to which snap fastener.

Example STAR 4:

  • STAR 4/A = tool for the socket
  • STAR 4/B = tool for the stud
  • STAR 4/C = tool for the post
  • Cap 12,5 mm = the matching setting die for the 12,5 mm cap

The marking on the tool therefore helps with correct matching. The size and snap fastener part must match the respective tool.

Are there sets for schools?

Yes. We also offer matching sets for all the eyelets, rivets and snap fastener types in our range.

This gives schools and teachers a practical combination of materials and the corresponding tools. Different sets are available depending on the snap fastener type and requirements. BRERO also stocks basic and supplementary assortments with snap fasteners, tools and other items.

How long does delivery take?

Stock items are generally delivered within 1–3 working days.

For special products and custom versions, the delivery time is usually around 2–4 weeks.

Which press is suitable for schools?

The hand screw press is ideal for lessons – it is easy to operate and robust enough for regular use. It is included together with snap fasteners, eyelets and tools in our basic assortments. Find out more under complete sets.

Can I reorder items individually?

Yes. All snap fasteners, eyelets, rivets and tools from our sets are also available individually.

Are there instructions for use in class?

Yes. Under Service & know-how you will find, among other things, the instructions for assortment 599A and guides to setting Star 4, Super 2 and Elegant 3 snap fasteners and eyelets as PDFs – also in English, French and Italian.

How is the press attached in the classroom?

The large basic assortments 599A and 599A1 include a mobile mounting set: the press is screwed onto the wooden board and fixed to the table with two screw clamps – stable, safe and removable at any time.

Are there coloured snap fastener caps for creative projects?

Yes. The cap assortment 599C contains 600 snap fastener caps in various colours, assortment 599C1 contains 900 caps with various patterns.

Both fit exclusively with basic assortment 599A and can be processed with its tools.
