Our machine range covers a wide selection of models: hand screw presses, pneumatic and hydraulic presses, and fully automatic machines.

Uniform standard: Most of our tools have a M6 thread, below, the die is placed in a 12 mm hole tightened. For the toggle presses and the pneumatic eyelet machine we additionally use M8 and M10 thread. This way, BRERO tools and presses always fit together.

Hole punches

Hole punches for screwing into the hand press punch clean holes – the basis for setting eyelets, rivets and snap fasteners. They are particularly suitable for paper, cardboard, leather, fabric, cotton, jersey and fine textiles. Available round from Ø 1 mm to Ø 25 mm and oval in various hole sizes for oval eyelets.

How to read the dimensions

The value Ø is the diameter of the punched hole; for oval hole punches it is the hole size length × width.

Punch irons for punching with a hammer – ideal for single pieces, large hole diameters and work without a press. With the brass anvil as a base, clean holes are created in leather, tarpaulins, fabric and plastic.

The hand setting tool consists of a setting die and a lower part and sets the eyelet and washer with a hammer – no press needed, ideal for one-off pieces, repairs and on-site use. The stabilising tool holds the setting die and lower part securely in line.

Which hole punch fits my eyelet?

The hole should roughly match the shank diameter of the eyelet. We will be happy to help you choose.

What do I need a brass anvil for?

It serves as a base when punching and protects the cutting edge of the hole punch.

Do the hole punches fit my press?

The hole punches are screwed in. Just ask us – we will gladly check whether they fit your press.

Do the supplementary assortments fit my press?

Most supplementary assortments fit all screw presses, toggle presses and pneumatic presses. It is important that the press has an M6 thread at the top and a hole diameter of at least 12 mm at the bottom. The cap assortments 599C and 599C1 fit exclusively with the basic assortment 599A. Find out more under Supplementary assortments.

Which press is right for me?

The compact hand screw press Mod. 3 is suitable for occasional work, the Mod. 4 AF for frequent use. Toggle presses also set large eyelets up to 40 or 66 mm inner diameter. For production runs, we recommend pneumatic or fully automatic machines.

Do the tools fit every press?

Most of our tools have an M6 thread and fit all our hand screw presses. For the toggle presses, an adapter from M10/M8 to M6 is available so that all standard tools can be used.

Can I set eyelets without a press?

Yes. With the hand setting tool and a hammer, you can set the eyelet and washer without a press – ideal for one-off pieces, repairs and on-site use. You punch the hole with a punch.

Do you offer maintenance and repairs?

Yes. In our in-house workshop, we service and repair machines and tools, and on request also manufacture customised tools. Find out more under Tools & machines.

Are there sets with a press and tools?

Yes. Our basic assortments contain a hand spindle press, snap fasteners, eyelets and the matching tools. More under Complete sets.

When do I need the special punching tool?

The special punching tool with ball is designed for webbing, plastic, hard plastic, nylon and multi-layer materials. It consists of an upper and a lower part and lasts longer than a hole punch.

Can I rent a press?

Yes. For one-off projects or orders we mainly rent out screw presses and hand setting tools. You rent them for the desired period and then return them to our site in Adligenswil.
